Um…so why can’t someone come by and do my hair everyday?? I don’t think that’s too much to ask. LOL!
Got my hair done yesterday by my friend Alis over at Fox + stone beauty parlor in Corte Madera, and I feel like a brand new girl. She trimmed my bangs, patched up my roots and dragged dark chocolate brown through the ends. ideal now I have a kind of highlighting placement called balayage, which is when the stylist paints the color freehand on big sections of hair so the highlights look a lot more “random,” and you can’t really see a line of demarcation where the regrowth starts and the painted parts begin.

I really like it. I think it looks a little a lot more natural than standard highlights.
Alis also blew out my hair and curled it, and you better believe I’m going to get every last drop out of it. dry shampoo for days, yo! (Side note: I’m actually testing a new one ideal now by Living Proof, best Hair Day. very excited.)
I wish I could curl my hair like Alis does. When she does it, it falls so naturally… I can never quite replicate it. When I curl my own hair, it’s passable…but the curls fall in a uniform pattern that doesn’t have as much bounce or variety. When Alis does it, though, the curls look randomly placed, but they also look like they’re meant to land ideal where she puts them, if that’s make any sense.
That’s why she’s the superstar stylist, and I’m the mere mortal, I guess. ?
